Fancy Nancy BookClub
I am SO EXCITED! Today I am holding a 1st grade Fancy Nancy bookclub! I will be reading one of the Fancy Nancy stories, we will be decorating headbands, and I have a number of Fancy Nancy printables for them to take home. To find these printables as well as others by some of your favorite authors go to Harper Collins Children's Games & Contests!

Dewey Games
How can you be productive when the temperture is mid 80s outside and feels even warmer inside? EASY! Go to the air conditioned computer lab and practice the Dewey Decimal System with a fun, free computer game. Order In The Library is a fun, interactive way for students to learn how books are placed on the shelves in the library. It also helps students with alphabetical order and decimal order! My 2nd graders had a blast playing it!

Author Interviews
While preparing for my next author study with my Kindergarden class, I stumbled accross an amazing site by NBC. NBC interviewed 17 different children's authors and created short videos of the interviews. Not only am I going to be showing some of these interviews to my classes, but I'm thinking of creating short videos of my students sharing what they have learned during our author studies! Stay tuned for more... :)

Reading Apps
As Spring Vacation quickly approaches, you might find yourself in need of something educational to keep your child busy during their time off. If that is the case, try the Magic Ink and Tab Tale apps. Magic Ink and Tab Tale have FREE interactive fairy tales for the iPad. Children can choose to read the story themselves or have the story read to them. There are puzzles and games on almost every page. I know my children enjoy them... I hope yours will too!
